Temporary addresses

When a you set up a new domain account it will take up to three days for the domain name to move over to it.

We provide a temporary address which allows you to use the account before the domain is pointing to our server.

To use the temporary address:

1. To upload to your account before the domain has move dover, use your username and password and set the FTP server as the IP address of the account (from your welcome email or from the list accounts page).

2. To view your pages go to the IP address followed by ~/ follwed by the account's user name
   e.g. http://123.123.123.123/~username/

3. Frontpage users will not be able to upload until the domain is pointing to the server. You will know when the domain i spointing to the server when you tyype the domain name into your web borowser address bar and you see a list of empty folders. This is a feature of the way Frontpage works.
